Lightbulb CCR Instruments

OK, I've found out that John's first electric was a Sears Silvertone with a 5 watt amp he bought for $80. He also had a Supro guitar in the early sixties. He had a Fender Mustang in the Golliwogs-time (before Tom traded it for the famous Rickenbacker 325). A Gibson ES-175 for the Bayou Country album was stolen and he replaced it with two Les Paul Customs. The neck of one of them got broken (I think on a plane), so he shortened it to a 3/4 scale. One had a Bigsby tremolo.
John modified the Rickenbacker 325 by installing a Bigsby Tremolo and a Gibson PAF Humbucker pickup in the bridge.
The saxophone he used was probably a Martin Committee.
Tom had a Rickenbacker 330 and two Guild Starfire IV's in the CCR days. After that he is seen with a Fender Telecaster and a Rickenbacker 330/12 string.
Stu had a modified Fender Precision Bass (Rickenbacker pickup in the neck, extra Fender Precision pickup in the bridge), a Rickenbacker 4001, a Gibson EB-3 (SG Bass, as seen in the Bootleg videoclip and the Johnny Cash Show appearance) and a hand-painted Fender Jazz Bass.
Finally Doug had a four-piece Ludwig drumkit and two four-piece Camco kits. He used two Slingerland sets in the Golliwogs days.
