Well, think of some of the originals from Cool Hand Luke that CCR turned into hits, and eventually classics...

Hi!
I've found in Spain two 33 vinyls from the 70's with C.C.R. songs versions. 1st is a 1972 album called "Tribute to Creedence Clearwater by Purple Velvet and includes the following songs: Up around the bend Bad moon rising Green river Proud Mary Down on the corner Born on the Bayou I think it was produced in U.K. by Hal Carter 2nd is another album called "Homenaje a Creedence Clearwater" by Trembling Light Focus from 1973 produced in Spain by Alamo records, i have no information about the songs included. I Have found an single 45 t with a version of Bad moon rising by the Cuban Guitarist , Juan Marquez, issued 1973. I have not listened the songs because they are on sale in an Spanish used objets. I'll try to buy them if possible, my bank account is also in crisis!!! cheers ![]() Javier |

Think the question was:Covers of CCR/Fogerty songs. Most of the songs on the list from Mary Lou is not written by CCR/Fogerty.
CCR/ Fogerty recorded them but they did not write them. My baby left me-Grapevine-Put a spell on you-hello mary lou-Cotton fields and so on,are CCR covers of other peoples music. I think the threadstarter was asking for covers of original material from CCR/Fogerty and not the other way around. C. |
