Hi, my name is Thomas and I am from Norway.
I have recorded a cover version of Who'll Stop The Rain. It can be checked out at this webpage: www.myspace.com/stthomas1976 Since I have a reputation and have sold quite a few albums in Europe, I am considering delivering this song for radio airplay in Norway. I wonder, if anyone, can answer me; do i need to contact the publishing company who have the copyright for the song? and if so; which publishing company is the owner of the rights? I hope you like my version!! |

Yes,you have to have permission to use the song.I don't know who you have to contact in Norway but in Denmark we got a firm called Koda who takes care of music rights and royality. You must have something similar in Norway.Since you have sold albums in Europe,I don't understand why you are not aware of this.If you also writing your own songs, you must register them in order to protect your rights.
