Hi, there !!
Just came across the forum and logged in !! I'm practically welcoming myself (h?h?h?h?!!) CCR have litterally marked some crucial steps of my youth, ferrying me into adolescence. It was Cosmo's Factory/Pendulum time and some of the "singles" were pretty often played on radio... got myself Cosmo's Factory first and then (pocket-money allowing) slowly the rest of CCR discography. Not too surprisingly I started playing some of the songs on guitar. Some thirty years have gone by now and I still enjoy playing CCR on my hi-fi (now I've got all albums on CD, vinyl is history). I've also got CCR tracks being played in both my bands: Proud Mary with one band (me on bass and lead vocal), Down on the corner and Who'll stop the rain with the other band (me on lead guitar and backing vocals)... the audience always appreciates but often kinda "oh, lovely song that, I remember it, you've brought me back in time, it's a Beatles song isn't it?" (sad/sick!). Anyway, people, here it is, a CCR captive fan from Italy... Bye |

Say It Out

Anyway, people, here it is, a CCR captive fan from Italy... Bye[/quote] My sons band play quite a lot of Creedence numbers and now all members of the audiance know exactly who CCR were. This was initally attained by my boys introducing the songs like so " now a number by one of the greatest bands ever". Those who knew, remembered, those who didn't asked and now all know and like. You don't here it mentioned much but I love Looking out my back door. hitbit
