it may be a protest of the anti war movement, "...before the storm, i know its been coming for sometime, when its over so they say, it will rain a sunny day" it sounds almost to me like he is explaining nuclear fallout, in the midst of the cold war i think it is a reasonable assumption, if not just a thought

I'm close to end of my journey through life. Born in 46 I've seen good and been part of the bad. Nam was hell and the reason for my leaving. I take a lot of memories with me. I've asked that the last song at my memorial be, "Have You Ever Seen The Rain". It's part of me and who I am now and who I will always be. My only regret is leaving those I love. I will finally be free of the pain.

We remembewr you Whitewolf. Jasper, Semelar, Chiperano, and the boys were here. We know and remember the good that came with the bad. Those reading this can't know the hell of war or the the peace that comes with remembering a special song. Have you Ever Seen The Rain brought us together then and now.
Peace Bro
The 43rd.

Default Have you ever seen the rain

I was listening to an interview with JF over here on british radio (BBC) last year, when he was talking about his come back, and John confirmed that have you ever seen the rain was an anti Vietnam war song, unfortunately I cannot recall the explanation he gave.

Dudes, I've heard that this song was wrote to Tom Fogerty, when he left the band. John was kinda surprised...
