Led Zeppelin singing "Hello Mary Lou"? Wow, I'm trying to imagine how that must sound like. Is this version available on record?

It was really great. Listen to one of numerous 'Whole Lotta Loves')))) I don't really remember which... Plant sings 'Hello Mary Lou' in the middle after sad hippy song 'San Francisco' & before 'Let's Have a Party', if I'm not mistaken... Hope you'll find it!))

My friend, a true LZ fan, claims this 'Whole Lotta Love' is from the LP 'How the West Was Won' It could be a bootleg, I'm not sure...
I like 'Stairway'. It's a charmin' song. Unfortunately, the guys are too 'complicated' for me. My keenesses are country & rock'n'roll. That's why I chose Creedence Country rock is ideal for me. But when I saw LZ playin' 'C'mon Everybody' & 'Something Else' I enjoyed it!!! And 'Whole Lotta Love' is a song they necessarily play live, and it usually consists of many blues & rock'n'roll songs. In that one they played 'Hello Mary Lou') |

Yeah, its on How the West was Won, its not a bootleg. They did at almost all live shows, though. You should check LZ III, its mostly acoustic with JPJ on mandolin. They have alot of random country-ish songs, like Hey Hey, What can I do from Coda. Bron-yr-stomp on How The West was Won is great, too.
New Riders of the Purple Sage are anoter great band, kinda like CCR, but more bluegrassy. The worked with Grateful Dead on American Beauty and some other stuff. Wow, thats really off-topic... I'd just search with the Hello Mary Lou, without a band name. |
