Looking for a tab (preferably Guitar Pro) for Ooby Dooby. The only one I can find is for the Roy Orbison version.

Hi, did u ever find a tablature for CCR 's ooby dooby.
I have been trying so hard for this one,all i can find
are the chords but no solo tabs. Cheers John.

This is a SERIOUS issue... I too have searched widely for the guitar music to no avail. Such an excellent piece of guitarmanship should not go un-tabbed (or un-notated).

Does anyone know of ANY source?

If not, can we get a discussion going of how to play this song (you know, the cool "fast part")?

I've sent you a mail a couple of days ago. Maybe I can help you with the tab. The song itself is pretty easy to play (just 3 chords, E A and B if I'm not mistaken), but the guitar solo is a different history.

Hi, I first posted a request for this Tab back in 2007
but it seems nobody has found one. It's only the SOLO
that I'm in trouble with, any help here would be fantastic

Here you will find some top lessons on CCR songs.
The owner of this site has been kind enough to respond
to my request for the Ooby Dooby solo and has done an
excellent job. He will be posting Tablature soon so be patient,
we have been waiting a long time for this one. I highly recommend
this site to any guitarist who needs CCR songs. Please post your

The CCR Version and Roy Orbison versions are pretty much exactley the same, listen to them both and compare.

Thats because the CCR version of Ooby doobie was a note for note tribute, it was intended to sound exactly the same
