I've read that the song is about a musician (not happy...) stuck in Lodi again.
What does John means by telling: 'right now, a sad sad song about a bad bad photographer' before starting 'Lodi' (live in Germany). Musician - Photographer ? |

The comment "...sad, sad song about a bad, bad photographer" could have been about Jim Marshall or Bob Fogerty, who took many photos of the band. Jim Marshall is a noted photographer who snapped my personal favorite shot of John onstage from behind with a very wide-angle lens which captures almost every face in the crowd. This photo was used on the inside of "Pendulum". Bob of course, was John's brother who accompanies him to this day on tour.
