Who is playing sax on this track?
Any info available from session musicians CCR might have used on their records? |

I recall reading years ago (forget where) that John Fogerty taught himself the part on sax and recorded it note-by-note, as he cannot play the instrument proper.

Ok, I seriosly doubt that what you read was true, cause John was (and is) multi-instrumental. He could learn to play any instrument he needed to play. Sax was no exception. Anyway, I don't think it's possible to record a sax-part note by note, and get the sound that fluid.

And of course I meant "fluent", not "fluid".... Sorry.

'good' grammar?
In this instance, 'fluid' is a perhaps more eloquent description than the accepted 'fluent',, in my humble opinion. Very poetically acceptable methinks. Good for you Becca.

I don't think CCR used any studio musicians, except on 'Sailor's Lament' and 'What Are You Gonna Do?' (female background vocalists).
Any idea who they were? |
