Pendulum Album Cover Message?

On the back of Tom Fogerty's last album with CCR "Pendulum" on the rear cover of the album we see a photo of Stu, Doug and John in the door way and Tom by himself in the window. I believe this was Tom sending a message to the world he was leaving the group. I wonder had he stayed how much longer CCR would have marched on?

Your reasoning is makes it seem possible. I'm sure the photographer was in command though.

I don't know, it seems pretty coincendental that he is seperate from the other three and leaves the band the following year. The photographer may have been in control but its possible that Tom took advantage of the photo shoot to make a statement. But I guess it could be up for debate.

It maybe like regarding the Beatles in the mid to late '60s regarding the Paul is dead hystaria with the allege hints on their album covers. Paul McCartney is very much alive.

One would like to think that if Tom had stayed awhile longer, that CCR could remained at the top for 6 months to a year more had Tom chosen to stay that much longer. Things started to fall apart after his departure. As has been said, when Tom left, "The Golden Age of Creedence Was Over". One just has to be happy that there was and is as much good sounding music that there was. 40 years later, CCR remains the best band America ever produced.
