The good: It'll be 40 years in July since the magnificent Cosmo's Factory album was released, and the same in December for Pendulum. Both classic recordings.
And in April, it'll also be 40 years since the band performed their historic concert at London's Royal Albert Hall, which I was lucky enough to witness.
Great memories!

The sad: In September, it'll be 20 years since the death of Tom Fogerty. It doesn't seem that long ago, but how time marches on. Tom's gone but certainly not forgotten.

Its amazing to me that this stuff is 40 years old, really is timeless, yet at the same time (no pun intended) CCR is permanently frozen in time. CCR cant be history because they are still relevant. While most other musical styles came and went, CCR was still here.
