I am and have been stuck in Lodi, Ca. for 2 months now. After reading the lyrics the reality of my situation had me revisit the lyrics. I was a teenager in the 60's and liked most every tune by Creedence but didn't understand the meaning or basis of the tune. I am broke, 1000 miles from home & can't leave until I get my disability benefits. You may wonder how does that occur? A long story made short. My mom died Oct 24th 2012, I left Idaho with my travel trailer Sept 8th 2012 and my niece who was caring for my Father assumed all of his property and assets essentially taking over his life. He finally asked for help from me after I watched this whole catastrophe unfold on Facebook as the spending spree began and then ended. Yes it's true. The scripture the love of money is the root of all evil became a living nightmare. I have a few choice photos taken right here in beautiful Lodi, Ca. that I will try to post. This is my first post as I am new so it may take a minute. Already pawned my computer and gas generator so I am doing this on an I-phone.
