More than likely it was due to pagan baby not being as big of a hit as the other songs, they usually played a familiar lineup of music, all the hits everyone always played (BMR, Proud Mary, Green River, etc), pagan baby and the album it came on wasnt a huge huge success like the previous 4 albums, as "Pendulum" marked the downward decline of CCR, Mardi Gras being the final album, CCR then broke apart.
