Too many songs! One of the things that makes Creedence so legendary.
For a band that was together (in CCR form) only a few years to have SO MANY amazing songs is just incredible! At best, you would expect a band with such a short life-span to have, what, 2 or 3 real hits? And a few more lesser known songs beloved by the truest fans. How many songs from Creedence Clearwater Revival get standard play on oldies and classic rock stations? I count at least 12! And then there's all those other songs like Ramble Tamble, Keep On Chooglin' and Tombstone Shadow which get less air play but are completely brilliant. I was singing Hey Tonight in my head today at work and it cheered me up...and it's not even one of my favorites...that's how awesome these guys are! |
Ok, here they are, first in the row my favorite song from each album, and second row NOT the 2nd favorite or worst song, but ONE of my big favorites:
Creedence Clearwater Revival: "I Put a Spell on You" | "The Working Man" Bayou Country: "Born on the Bayou" | "Good Golly Miss Molly" Green River: "Wrote a Song for Everyone" | "Cross-Tie Walker" Willy and the Poor Boys: "Fortunate Son" | "Cotton Fields" Cosmo's Factory: "Travelin' Band" | "Ramble Tamble" Pendulum: "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" | "Born to Move" Mardi Gras: "Someday Never Comes" | "Lookin' for a Reason" |
