Meaning of "Who'll Stop the Rain

When I was in Viet Nam we refered to this song as who will stop the Agent Orange from raining down on us, Has anyone everheard this?

The only version i ever knew was fogerty's official explaination being that it was written while he was at woodstock and he was wondering who would stop it from raining (it stormed something fierce during most of the woodstock festival)

I think you're thinking about "Have You Ever Seen The Rain?"

:super::super: I get ya man, but I don't mean rain = loveless situation in the man-woman sense...I mean it in the general love sense. In pop/rock songs, "rain" always has some meaning related to no love or little love....:)
