Five year plans was what they had in the soviet, and new deal were what the US president thought would fix the economy after the crash on wall street before the WW2

I'm not American so I don't know many thing about American history, but we all know the Vietnam War, the New Deal,etc.
I think it was dedicated to those people in the Vietnam War, but for me it could be also for all the Wars around the World.
What kind of song would John write for our actual world? Who'll stop the rain is almost a hymn.

I am very sorry for the confusion and the mixup but Who'll Stop The Rain is NOT about the break up of Creedence. Who'll Stop The Rain is very much so a political song. I was at the Fogerty concert about a month ago at the Hollywood Bowl, and before he played Who'll stop the rain he said that he was at Woodstock, and he wrote the song on his way hitchicking home. Just for reference, it rained like crazy one of the days at Woodstock, hence the third verse "heard the singer playing, how we cheared for more..."
