Hi everybody,

here are some sad news for all our fans:

Yes this is sad because Doug Cliffords nickname was Cosmo.

Nerdistmonk adds: Not only was his name cosmo, but the building was named after clifford, it was CCR rehearsal space, thus cosmos factory, I think you have it backwards hehe

Oakland Landmarks

As far as I know "DUCKEES" market is still standing and in business. It appeared on the cover of Willy And The Poorboys. :super:

That sucks ... I was planning to visit that building next time I'm in the Bay Area.

Do you happen to know where that store is located? I have always wondered where those pics were taken for the front and back of the WATP album. Looks like it would be Harlem, NY, or South Central LA?

Hi sary,

yes, that's sad about Cosmo's Factory having been burned down!! Thanks for the information, though.

Agreed! Hey, just throwing this off-topic for a bit but I noticed in your avatar that you have a Paisley telecaster (reissue, I'm sure - that's definitely not an original). Do you play guitar? I also have a paisley reissue Tele with a B/G StringBender with Keith banjo tuners (I'm a huge Clarence White/Marty Stuart fan)?

Duck Kee is in Oakland, at the corner of Hollis and Peralta. Visited it a couple of times already. Watch out, it's a dangerous neighborhood right now....
