Hi fellow Creedence fans
My name is Rick and I am a long time Creedence fan from the north of England (near Manchester).
I've been in a band called
Oyster for about 4 years and, while we mainly concentrate on original material, we love Creedence and have been known to do the odd cover. I've just found (I'd forgotten about it) a cover of "
Have You Ever Seen The Rain" we did a couple of years or so ago (different line up then), and I have just put it on YouTube. If you search for "
Chris Layhe" or "
Oyster Have You Ever Seen The Rain" you should find it. We used to perform it live all the time and it always went down well. We don't do it any more for reasons that escape me.
Not much of a "video" I know, but I was just wondering what proper Creedence fans made of it. The singer is a guy called called
Chris Layhe who writes all our stuff. He was the bassist in a band from Liverpool in the 80's called the
Icicle Works alongside
Ian McNabb and
Chris Sharrock (now the drummer for
Oasis).
The
Oyster website is

I've started to write my own stuff. Have a listen:-
