My take on the Creedence Debacle.

I absolutely concur that John Fogerty was, is and ALWAYS will be the heart and soul of Creedence Clearwater Revival. What he went through at the hands of Saul Zaentz, his own brother Tom and the other two members was simply horrific. I have followed Creedence from 1967 to this very day, as well as John's own career, and it is OBVIOUS who the talent was in that quartet. Zaentz simply put the screws to John because he saw the cash cow going bye bye. While I lament the loss of Tom Fogerty, shame on his for telling John, ON HIS DEATHBED, that Saul Zaentz is his best friend! Unforgivable and uncosncienable!

Ya I know it is just totally horrific. I bet you they where real close when they were kids. Then look what ended up happining to their brother/family relationship. It is just awful. Did Tom realy say that on his deathbed? Cause that is just awful Tom knew how much John hated Zaentz for screwing him over like the he did. Then at Toms funeral John only came as a dutyful famliy member. It is just absolutely horrific. I hope you have a nice day and ROCK ON!!

I'm quite stunned at what Tom said to John. I don't know much about the destruction of CCR, but I do know Zaentz played a major part. I just hope John outlives the bastard so that he can piss on his grave
