Swamp Rock Question!

I'm writing from UCLA with a archival question: a Russian film company is using some music from the time/style of CCR. They've asked me to find if there's an indie-label somewhere in the US that has archived similar-sounding bands (maybe those that never made the big time) but are still a part of creating an authentic soundtrack - that doesn't just use some cliched old choices from a greatest hits' album.
